Justin obtained his law degree from the Charleston School of Law. He pursued additional study at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where he earned his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in taxation law, making him uniquely suited to practice in the areas of law he focuses on.
Within his practice, Justin works with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds and situations. No matter the client’s family, financial or business dynamics he approaches his work with thorough consideration to carefully tailor each plan to meet the specific goals and needs of each client. His estate planning practice ranges from simple wills to more sophisticated planning involving revocable and irrevocable trusts, in addition to durable powers of attorney and healthcare directives. Justin's probate practice involves both trust and probate administration. His business practice ranges from business formation, planning and succession to mergers and acquisitions.
Justin grew up in the Greenville area and currently resides near downtown. When not working, he enjoys wakeboarding and spending time with his wife and daughter.

James earned his juris doctor from the Charleston School of Law and also holds bachelors and masters degrees in history from Winthrop University.
James has extensive experience in both public and private practice in South Carolina that he brings to the team at Heritage Law. Throughout his career, James has striven to be of service to his clients and provide them with thorough and compassionate service. James understands that there are many concerns that go into forming a person’s estate plan and that each person has different needs and goals for their respective plans. He prides himself on taking the time to learn what his clients’ needs are, educating them on the different ways they can plan, and helping them put together an effective plan that will provide his clients with peace of mind. James’ practice involves revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and probate and trust administration.
James is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. When he is not practicing law, James enjoys cooking, golf, college sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife, their daughter, and their dog, Minnie.
Phyllis Nisoff McMahan
Certified Paralegal
Phyllis Nisoff McMahan is a Paralegal at Heritage Law. She has extensive paralegal experience and assists with all estate and probate matters for the firm.
She has a paralegal certificate from National Center for Paralegal Studies in Atlanta, Georgia as well as an Associates’ Degree in Health Science from Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
Phyllis enjoys spending time with her husband and family at their home located in the mountains of North Carolina. She loves to hike, cook and travel.
Amy Willcox
Executive Administrative Assistant
Amy Willcox is the Administrative Assistant at Heritage Law. She has an extensive background in managing projects and customer service. She attended Converse College and earned her Associate in Law degree from Greenville Technical College in 1992. Prior to working at Heritage Law, she was a stay-at-home mom and very involved in community and school-related activities.
Amy is a native to Greenville, South Carolina. She lives here with her husband, Thomas. They have three beautiful girls. She and her husband are active in their church and enjoy the South Carolina coast and wherever their girls’ journeys take them!
Meah Hamrick
Firm Administrator
Meah Hamrick is the Firm Administrator at Heritage Law and is responsible for the general operations of the firm. Meah has over 10 years of experience in operational management and leadership. She has been with Heritage Law since 2016.
Meah completed her undergraduate work at Mississippi State University and followed that by obtaining her Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Belmont University, Nashville. She previously worked locally as a Certified Hand Therapist in various settings prior to the arrival of her daughter in 2018.
Meah is originally from Starkville, Mississippi. She enjoys painting and travelling with her husband and daughter.
